Local schools

At St Luke’s we aim to develop relationships with other organisations who share the importance of community, and local schools are of particular importance.

The parish is home to three pre-schools (one of which, ‘Little Stars’, meets at the church), four primary schools and an ‘all-through’ school and we all work closely together for the benefit of the community. This includes assemblies in most of the local schools as well as welcome class visits to the church.

We have very good connections with our neighbouring schools, Cunningham Hill Infant and Junior Schools. We also have a very good relationship with Samuel Ryder Academy all-through school where we not only work together at primary level with classes and assemblies but also socially, supporting one another’s social and fundraising events.

In all we do in the community, we are aiming to ‘Bring God’s Grace to Life’.
